Have you ever wanted to redesign, recreate, reinvent yourself?
It is so, so possible! Trust me on that one, I have done it 3 times now and I'm only 43!!
Sometimes we make life so much harder than it really is.
The way I look back at my life it looks like a book with parts & chapters. Each part is a specific time period and each chapter inside is different experiences.
Part I - age 0-16 - learning, growing
Part II - age 17 - 38 - military career, married, children
Part III - age 39 - 42 - re-discovering who I am - start a whole new me
Part IV - age 43.....?? - helping & sharing with others and shining my light
At the age of 39, I was forced into a early retirement because of some physical injuries. So I needed to figure out what the heck I was going to do with my life. Sure it would have been easy to just slide back into working as a contractor in the same style of job, with the same people......BUT read on as to why.
I left my career of 22 years of being in the Military & Human Resources/Financial area - AND was highly encouraged by the authority figured to go to College/University for Business to get the real certificate so I would look presentable to the real world. At around the 3/4 mark of the schooling, I started to think of the job possibilities that I would be able to do - work in an office, be an HR manager, work as something financial - then I started to remember all the icky stuff that comes with it all - asking for time off when my kids are sick, asking for holidays, not having my personal freedom for creativity, not having flexibility, and dealing with the harassment. That last point is one of the HUGEST factors for me - because all of the points I mentioned above led to harassment for me. Now I realize, that one of the reasons this seemed to occur is my soul feels powerless when someone is trying to overpower me. So I needed to think or figure out what my passion was, so I could do it.
So a complete shift in career path - I started taking courses, bodytalk, new age, nail courses, lash extensions, spa courses - this was my passion. I love the creativity, the freedom, expanding my mind, choosing whom I want to be around, flexibility, being my own mapmaker for my life.
Now, I really know that all of these experiences, teachings, courses, people that I have had are meant to help me, help my husband, my family, and others to break free of the things that we are told are not possible BUT THEY ARE!
You are the mapmaker of your life - you are the creator of your reality - you have the power to re-design your life - the power is in you.
Start creating my friends!
